How close is Camp Sandusky to Cedar Point?

We are just over six miles from Cedar Point. That's usually less than a ten-minute drive.

Do you have a shuttle to get us to Cedar Point?
No, we do not have a shuttle bus, but there are many local taxi services that can take the whole family to the park.

Are there bathrooms and showers in your cabins?
No, but we have two all-modern bathroom and shower facilities just a short walk away.

How old do you have to be to stay at Camp Sandusky?
You must be 18 to rent any cabin or campsite.

What activities do you offer for children?
Camp Sandusky offers two swimming pools (one heated), a deluxe playground, sand volleyball, and our famous bunny farm where kids and pet can feed the bunnies.

What are your office hours?
The office opens at 8:30 a.m. and is open until at least 10:00 p.m. daily. The office will remain open later on Fridays and Saturdays. We have staff on the grounds at all times.

Are pets allowed at your campground?
Yes, we allow either dogs or cats inside RVs or pop-ups and in our new pet friendly cabins. We do not allow pets in tents or at tent sites.

What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Check-in begins at 2:00 p.m. Welcome packets will be available for people arriving after the office closes. You are free to use our facilities (swimming pool, etc.) prior to check-in time the day you are scheduled to arrive.

Is Camp Sandusky near fishing sites?
Yes, we are just 2 miles from Lake Erie fishing and there are also many great fishing locations within 10 minutes of the campground. We have maps and information available at the front desk. Fishing without a license is available at Lagoon Deer Park for just $8/adult.

Can we bring our own firewood?
The Ohio Department of Agriculture has asked us not to allow outside firewood to be brought to the campground. We have local firewood for sale at our camp store.

When does the pool open/close for the season?
Our pool is generally open Memorial Day-Labor Day.

Are pets allowed at the campsites?
Pets are allowed at the campsites. They must be checked in before or at time of check-in. They must be kept on a leash at all times. Pets are not allowed in tents. If reserving a cabin, please make sure to reserve a pet cabin.
