WANT to know
more-Below are some Frequently Asked
Questions:
What types of jobs are available?
There are a variety of jobs available from
reservationists in the office to
groundskeepers. Tasks will be assigned by
skills and interest.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What is a reservationist? A
reservationist is someone who answers the
phone and gives information to customers and
takes reservations over the phone. You will
not be calling people in their homes, they
will be calling you. You will also enter the
reservations into our computer network. Most
reservationists also work face to face with
our guests at the front desk. You will help
guests check in and out and also run the
cash register.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who should apply? Any self-motivated
individual is welcome to apply. General
computer and customer service skills are
needed for most office positions. Most
employees have some college experience but
any high school graduate may apply.
Groundskeepers and janitors should have a
valid driver's license.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How much will I get paid? Starting
wages will vary according to job type. You
will receive a bonus for each hour worked
and for working late into the season. This
bonus will be paid upon completion of your
work contract. Reservationists also receive
commissions on all of their reservations.
Some first year reservationists earned over
$9.50 an hour last year.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How many hours will I have to work?
Most people work around 30-40 hours per
week. Additional hours are usually available
if you wish to work more.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
What shifts are available? There are
four different shifts available. The morning
shift starts between 7-8 AM and ends between
1-5 PM. The midday shift is basically 11
AM-7 PM. Afternoon shifts start between 3-5
PM and end between 9-11 PM. Midnights are
available to security positions.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Will I have to work weekends? Weekend
shifts are usually split among all workers
so that nobody has to work every weekend.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When are jobs available? The
campground is open from May 10 to the end of
October. Some jobs will be available
starting April 16 in order to get ready for
the season and train new employees. Seasonal
